Funeral services for Philo "Bedo" Agard, 34, of Fargo formerly of Ft. Yates will be at 11 AM, Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ft. Yates. Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Philo passed away Thursday May 16, 2019 in Fargo.

Philo comes from a rich Lakota and French Ancestry. He is a           descendent of "O-Kute Sica", who is the Great Great Grandfather of Chief Walking Eagle. Philo was born on June 28, 1984 in Bismarck ND, to Joseph Louis Agard and Theresa Ann White Bull; both passed.

Philo lived in Fort Yates for most of his life. He attended the SR   Community and Fort Yates Public Elementary/High Schools. His     Senior Year, he attended Sherman Indian School in Riverside,           California. After returning home, he and his father lived with his Grandmother, Marie Brave Crow. In McLaughlin, SD.   He moved to Fort Yates for employment at PKC. He gained experience and work ethic for survival. He lived in Bismarck, ND and tried spot jobs. Philo made a decision to better himself, so he chose

Fargo, ND. He felt this was a step to create a better life for his children as well. While in Fargo, Philo attended AA regularly. On a late Thursday night May 16, 2019; he wasn't at AA. Instead he was found in very devastating accident that he did not survive. A friend of his, Detective Justin Nochatilo spoke highly of Philo. He was changing his life around and couldn't comprehend what had happened. Instead of dwelling on the circumstances, feeling angry; we should make peace in our hearts and believe that he is with his parents and daughter. We may not know why this tragedy happened; only God and Philo know.

Our task is to comfort each other, his children and those who were dear to him. Philo may regret leaving so soon, but visualize the joy he must have felt being reunited with relatives. Philo was a kind hearted and friendly individual. He was also reserved and quiet. Please remember these qualities of Philo and continue his example for his children.

Philo is survived by his daughter, Brianna & son Philo Jr. Brothers; Joseph "Cubby" Agard, Joseph "JJ" Ramsey, and Joshua Vermillion, one sister Emily Zahn. Surviving are his father's siblings; Aunties Geraldine Agard, Mabel Medicine Crow, Gale and Etta Brave Crow and Uncle Dale Brave Crow, all of McLaughlin, SD. Also his mother's half-siblings and children.

Preceded in death by his parents, Joe & Theresa, Grandmothers Margaret Sleeps and Marie Brave Crow, Grandfathers Patrick White Bull and Cyril Agard, Brother Cyril "Snapper" Agard and a daughter,   Kyranna Jesse Agard.
