Mass of Christian Burial for Pauline Schweitzer, age 90 of Pierre, formerly of Timber Lake will be 10:00 AM Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Timber Lake. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Timber Lake Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Pauline passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at the Golden Living Center in Pierre.

Pauline Eva Cousins was born on September 29, 1922 in Milo, Maine to Guy and Alice (Fudge) Cousins. On April 19, 1938 she married John Schweitzer in Firesteel, SD. They made their home in Timber Lake until the early 1970's. They then moved to Wyoming for some time before moving to Iowa. In 1985 they returned to Timber Lake where she remained until moving to Pierre in 2002.

Pauline enjoyed crocheting, circle awards, playing the mandolin, violin, piano, organ, and accordion. Her favorite past time was dancing with her husband. When they would dance, everyone would get off the floor because they were so good.

Pauline is survived by her children, John (Pat) Schweitzer of Splendora, TX, Mary (Bill) Regynski of Pierre, SD, Dorothy Herrell of Ava, MO, David (Gloria) Schweitzer of Pierre, SD, Frank (Linda) Schweitzer of Boise, ID, Paulette (John) Schweitzer of Webster, SD, and Tim (Barb) Schweitzer of Augusta, KS, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Cousins and Jergen and Alice Olson, husband, John, son, Larry, two grandsons, Larry and Devon, sister, Blanch Reum, brothers, Dick Cousins and Herb Cousins.
