Mass of Christian Burial for Pauline Foote, 86, of Ft. Yates will be 10 AM CT, Saturday, September 17, 2011 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ft. Yates. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be Friday from 6-10 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM at the Church. Pauline passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the Mandan Living Center in Mandan, ND.
Pauline Foote (KIMIMILA OYATE WIN) (BUTTERFLY NATION WOMAN)
Pauline was born to Oliver Looking Elk and Gertrude Tattooed on March 18, 1925. She had one brother Melvin Looking Elk. They were orphaned at a young age after which she and her brother stayed with relatives. When she reached high school age she attended St. Paul's high school at Marty S.D. After her return she married George Seewalker Sr. From this union 4 children were born; George Jr., Rosemary DeLaRosa, June Szczur, and Gertrude Bushy Top Pine (Wazi). Later two other children were born William Paul and Mary Ann. She later married George Foote Jr. in Dallas Texas. After his death she returned to Fort Yates and lived here. Due to health conditions she moved to the Mandan Living Center in Mandan, ND.
She is survived by two son's George Seewalker II, and William Paul. As well as two daughters June Szczur and Gertrude (Birdie) Bushy Top Pine.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, Oliver and Gertrude, her brother Melvin, her husbands, one son, two daughters, Rosemary and Mary Ann, her three grandson's Jason Harrison, Ira Shanta, and Melvin Joseph Ramirez, and one granddaughter Tiffany Shanta.

Evangeline Fast Horse, Thelma Luger, Phyllis Young, Benny Halfe, Leo Pretend Eagle, Ruth Sparks Howard P.E., Bernadine Broken Leg, and Donald Pretends Eagle.
