Funeral service for Paula Jo Hinckley age 67 of Timber Lake will be 2:00 PM Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to services time at the funeral home. Paula passed away Monday, September 7, 2020 at Avera Eureka Health Care Center in Eureka.

Paula was born to Ira David Mentzer, Sr. and Josephine (Dekok) Mentzer on November 12, 1952 in Sioux City, IA. She graduated from Boulder High School in Colorado and then went to Glencross, SD. Later she married Phillip Hinckley and farmed on the Liberty Ranch for many years.

Paula enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing and farming/ranching her entire life. David, her nephew always spent every summer with her and continued throughout her entire life bringing a smile to her face along with her late mother Josephine Mentzer at her ranch.

She had many different dog's including Buddy and Pepper. Paula enjoyed woodworking going to many Craft Fair's to sell her woodworking projects. She enjoyed going to the Pheasant Forever and Duck's Unlimited Banquets.

Paula also enjoyed her time with her special friend and partner Scott Enright. Paula and Scott enjoyed each other's company and formed a close bond until her passing.

Paula is survived by her partner Scott Enright, Timber Lake, SD siblings Joan McBride of Tampa, FL, Donald Peterson of Ponca, NE, Carol Kunkel of Sioux City, IA, Ira D. Mentzer, Jr. (Junior) of Ponca, NE, Peggy (Scott) Nash, of Rapid City, SD, Donald (Dawn) Hinckley of Gettysburg, SD, Mary (Bruce) Marango of Williamsburg, DE, Kathy (Alan) Haak of Huron, SD., numerous grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Mentzer Sr. and Josephine Mentzer, husband, Phillip Hinckley, sister-in-law's, JoAnn Mentzer, Sherry Petersen and brother-in-law's, John Kunkel William Hinckley, her dog's Buddy and Pepper.
