Funeral services for Paul Richard Hoisington Jr., age 26, of McLaughlin will be 10:00 AM MT Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the First Presbyterian Church, McIntosh, SD. Burial will be in Hoisington Family Cemetery rural McIntosh under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be Monday April 21, 2014 from 4 to 7PM with a prayer service at 7PM CT at Kesling Funeral Home. Paul passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 in McLaughlin.
Paul Jr. was born to the proud parents of Paul Sr. and June Hoisington. He was born February 4, 1988 in Fort Yates, ND. He grew up in McLaughlin, and attended Bear Soldier Head start, McLaughlin School, McIntosh School and Rock Creek Grant School. He later went on to attend Box Elder Job Corp. where he earned his welding certificate. He obtained his GED in Jamestown, ND. At the time of his death he was employed with Prairie Knights Casino. Paul Jr. was a very loving quiet person. He will always be remembered with his smile, it could turn your day around.
Paul Jr. is survived by his parents Paul Sr. and June (Eagle) Hoisington, three sons Aiven (5) and Aiden (4) Hoisington, Jayceon Spotted Horse/Hoisington (3months). Three brothers; Dehl Eagle, Daniel Hoisington, and Royce Hoisington, three sisters; Dara Hoisington, Evelyn Hoisington and Lyndsey Hoisington, 4 nieces and 6 nephews. Aunts; Veronica Iron Thunder, Ann Hoisington, Kohrili Hoisington, and Jennifer Eagle, Uncles; Ben Iron Thunder, Bernie Hoisington and Don Silverstar, grandfather James Highcat.
Paul was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Calvin and Margaret Hoisington, Mary Alice Brownotter, Genevieve Farrell, maternal grandparents; Melvin Eagle, Beatrice Cottonwood, aunts Mary Lou Red Bear, Marilyn Byzewski, Rosie Hoisington, uncles; Cletus Eagle, Fenton Little Dog, Sr., Paul and Brian Farrell, Stuart Brownotter, Sydney Hoisington, cousins; Paxton Good House, Eden Hertel and Keith Brown.
