Paul was born to Frank and Carol (Tatro) Ducheneaux on January 5, 1981 in Eagle Butte SD. He grew up with his siblings (Eddy, Mae, John and Frankie) in Timber Lake SD.
In 2000 Paul enlisted in the National Guard just before he graduated from Timber Lake High School. Paul was a hardworking man and a talented individual. In addition to numerous farmers and ranchers he also worked for various companies including: OctaFlex, Bill Hahne Ranch, Curley Johnson Ranch, he worked repairing railroads and concrete work, Puetz Construction and Midwest Power. Paul could do just about anything he set his mind to.
The highlight of Paul's life was his children, with Terri Luckett, Cooper Milton Ducheneaux was born, November 26, 2004, two years later Stockton John Ducheneaux was, born February 10, 2006. Paul always was a hard working father to provide for his sons after their birth.
In 2011, Paul met Krista McGregor and her two sons Tyler (3) and Levi (1) and they started their life together, January 14, 2014 Rope Holden Ducheneaux was born completing their family of 7.
Paul's love of life included many hobbies, he was talented at everything he tried his hand at. He enjoyed hunting and would take any and all kids that wanted to go with him, teaching them something new each time, good or bad. In 2013, he attended his first of several Bear Hunts in Canada where he shot his Prized Blonde Black Bear. Paul also loved to hunt deer; he would spend days looking for just the right one.
He spent his time when he wasn't working or with his family, raising and breaking horses as well as making tack, doing leather work and woodwork.
No matter how busy his life may have been he always made time for others; to lend a helping hand, take your call, or have your back. A lot of hours were spent on the road traveling to and from work. Driving night or day, no matter the weather to spend time with and provide a life for his kids, family and friends. He was Uncle Paul to so many and made a point of making all of the kids say "Uncle" and he would say, "Uncle who?" and the kids would reply, "Uncle Paul!!" Even if it took a little ear bending.
He will always be remembered for his sense of humor and bigger than life smile. So as Paul would finish each conversation, he would reply "Have a Good Day!"
