Funeral services for Paul Red Bird, age 63, of Eagle Butte will be at 11 AM MT, Monday, June 28, 2010 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Eagle Butte. An all night wake will be on Sunday with services at 7 PM MT at the church. Paul passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010 at his home in Eagle Butte. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements.

Paul Robert Red Bird, 63 of Dupree, journeyed to the spirit world Sunday, June 20, 2010 at his daughters home in Eagle Butte S.D. Paul Robert Red Bird was born on Jan.18,1947 at Old Cheyenne Agency, S.D to the late Moses and Anna (Eagle Chasing) Red Bird. Paul grew up in the Thunder Butte and Dupree areas, attending grade school in Dupree. Eager to serve his country, Paul enlisted in the USMC at the age of 17, obtaining various medals and an honorable discharge in 1972. When Paul returned home he moved around with his family, working various jobs along the way. He especially enjoyed working with AT&T Telephone Company in Perris California, along with CRST Telephone Auth., where he spent many years, obtaining his GED in the process. Paul Red Bird known as "Cega" to many was a very proud man, proud of his family, proud of his accomplishments. Paul made many friends in his travels and will be greatly missed by all…

Paul is survived by his children; Keith Red Bird (Eagle Butte), Paula Jo Red Bird (McLaughlin), Jean Red Bird (Eagle Butte), Eric P. Red Bird sr, (Eagle Butte), Lee Little Wounded (Dupree), many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Paul will be preceded in death by his parents Moses and Anna; Brothers; Douglas 'Buddy' Red Bird, Milo Red Bird, Morris 'Bart' Red Bird, Kenneth 'Jake' Red Bird.
Sisters; Minerva Little Elk, Phyllis Frame, Ramona Red Horse.
