Funeral service for Orrin Cotton Wood age 51 of Fort Yates, ND will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the Youth Activity Center in Cannon Ball, ND Burial will be in the American Horse Family Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will start at 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM Monday at the Youth Activity Center. Orrin passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck, ND.

Orrin was born October 3, 1965, at Fort Yates, to Robert Cotton Wood and Delphine (Holy Elk Face) Morgan. He was raised and educated in Cannon Ball, ND, Denver, Co, Pine Ridge, SD before making his home in Fort Yates.

Orrin spent many years as a Wildland Fire Fighter, he also enjoyed spending time with all his friends and relatives, riding horses, playing volleyball, horseshoes and handyman work most of all traveling to neighboring reservations with adopted parents and family who are also extended family to pitch the Gospel Tent.

Orrin is survived by one son, Chauncey (Leena Lone Bear) Cotton Wood, one daughter, Joelle White Eagle, ten grandchildren, Xiomara, Arin, Demaryiuz, Kyra, Kaylee, Kimimila, Kyron, Joey and unborn baby twins, Mother, and Step-dad, Delphine (Neil) Morgan, Brothers, Tim & Clint Cotton Wood, Larry Hill, Kenny Morgan, Running Horse Morgan, Sister Roberta Cotton Wood, Aunts, Gwen (Emery) St. John, Juanita (Tom) Yellow Wolf, Sue Koch, Cecelia, Johanna Holy Elk Face, Debbie, Margaret, Carmen, Kathryn Grey Day, Alvina (Gene) Morrison, Marilyn (Gary) Sandland, Maxine Lewis, Uncles, Dwight (Angie) Koch, Warren (Verna) Koch, Leo Holy Elk Face, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, Adopted Brothers, Tony Jr. (Verdelia, Weyland (Myra) American Horse, Marlon (Rita) Hunte, Matthew (Julie), Dustin (Melodie) American Horse, Adopted Sisters, Ione (Evans) Elk, Lovetta (Daniel) Martin, Cheryl (Frank) Twinn, Mona (Gerald) Running Hawk.
