Funeral services for Orpha Hansen, 86, of Mobridge, SD, are 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 16, 2015, with visitation to be held one hour prior to the service, at the Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery of Mobridge under the direction of the Kesling Funeral Home. Orpha passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at the Mobridge Regional Hospital.

Orpha was born in Lemmon, SD, on October 24, 1928, to Erwin and Grace (VanSickle) Bailey.

She graduated from Lemmon High School in 1946. She married Murile Loyd Hansen and they had 7 boys before having 2 girls. She lived on a farm near Rapid City most of her adult life, moving to Mobridge in 2006.

Orpha loved her flower gardens and animals, especially her cats. She crocheted many baby blankets and outfits for her grandkids. She continued to do crossword puzzles right up until her death.

She is survived by her sons, Leslie of Rapid City, Loyd of Freeman, Lee of Newport News, VA, Loel of Albuquerque, NM, Lorry (Jill) of Box Elder, and Lynn of Rapid City; her daughters, Kandie (Arlen) Kelley of McBain, MI, and Cindy (Ron) Maier of Mobridge; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Howard and James; her son, Lonnie; her daughter-in-law, Jean; and her grandson, Zachary. She will be greatly missed by her family.
