Funeral services for Nola R. Orth will be Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Kesling Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Artas Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.

Nola was born May 19, 1947 to Frank and Fern (Jakobsen) Thorsen at Linton, ND and
graduated form Pollock High School in 1964. She married Theodore Orth on June 26, 1964 in Pollock and to this union 2 children were born, Jeff and Suzette. Nola was a farm wife and mother on the farm east of Herreid, she sold Avon for many years in the area.

Nola worked as a nurse's aide at the Mobridge Hospital, a waitress at the Fin and Feather Supper Club in Pollock, worked at the Mobridge Country Club and then Nola moved to Mobridge in 1997, working at Stiles Bottle shop. She also worked as a Med aide at the Assisted Living in Mobridge and Nola's last job was a floor representative at the Grand River Casino.

She is survived by her son; Jeff (Kim) Orth and their children Daniel, Jennifer, Josh, Jordon of Herreid, SD, daughter Suzette Orth (Rocky) of Martin, SD, brothers, Butch (Myron) & Caroline Thorsen of Aberdeen, SD, Les & Cheryl Dale of Ashley, ND, Don & Judy Dale of Pierre, SD, sisters, Myrna & Alvin Zandstra of Rapid City, SD, Bunny (Bernadine) & Robert Hollaar, of Hall, ND, Roberta & Mark Ryckman of Bismarck, ND, brother-in-laws, Buzz (Alfred) Jensen of Watertown, SD, Doug & Sandi Orth of Mobridge, SD, Henry John & Renee Orth of Eureka, SD and special friend Sadonna Larson of Mobridge, SD.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Theodore Orth, sister Mavis Jensen, sister-in-law Wanda Houghtaling, step-dad Robert Dale, and in-laws; Henry & Amanda Orth.
