Nicole Mulligan, 50, of Mobridge passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at her home in Mobridge.

Nicole was cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Nicole was born on November 10, 1969, to Bill and Barbara (Fiddler) Mulligan. A son, Miles, was born on June 9, 1999, to Nicole and the late Richard Goldade. She graduated from Mobridge High School in 1988. After graduating from Mobridge High School in 1988, she went to Cosmetology School in Bismarck, ND, but decided that was not for her. She came back home to Mobridge and went to work for Cardinal Plastics until it closed. She then went to work for One World. A new company that was just starting up here in Mobridge. Nicole left this job to help her father who had cancer. She would drive him to horse sales and helped care for the horses. Soon after her father passed away she went to work for East River and the Holiday. She finally found her dream job with Tami Schanzenbach at Pets N Stuff.

Nicole started riding horses before she could walk, her mother would put her in the saddle with her and off they would go.

She participated in 4-H shows and rodeo's, also many other horse shows and events. Nicole's favorite two horses were her barrel horse, "Straw" and her pleasure horse "Shady". Shady was a stinker. He would let all the horses penned in the barn out and she had to keep penning them back up. He could open almost any gate.

Nicole went all over the country with her father to horse sales. She went to Rushville, IN for our colt production sales every year. She took the colts by herself to Rushville until her mother started going with her the next few years. When it came to sick and injured animals, she tried to save each and every one.

Nicole was so tender hearted and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends and animals.

The family is asking any memorials be donated in Nicole's memory to the Wamakaskan Onsica Humane Society which is part of Pets N Stuff in Mobridge. They can be sent to 308 Main Street, Mobridge, SD 57601. This is a 501C3 Humane Society.
