Mass of Christian Burial for Nadine M. Gill, 74 of Mobridge will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 21, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Visitation will be Friday, starting at 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Kesling Funeral Home. A prayer service will be Friday at 7:00PM at the Church. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Nadine passed away Monday, September 16, 2013 at her home in Mobridge.
Nadine Marie Gill was born to Lester and Genevieve (Schamp) Gill in rural Timber Lake in 1939. Nadine attended the Long Butte Country School, near the family farm. She spent her childhood on the farm north of Timber Lake area, graduating from Timber Lake High School. In 1957, she married Q.P. Coleman and unto this union seven children were born. Richard, J. Randal, Bradley, Q. Patrick, Crystal, Rodney and Jennifer. Nadine and Q.P. resided in Mobridge wherein Nadine took over the day to day management of KOLY radio after Q.P. passed in 1978. Nadine also started and was majority owner of the Mobridge Cable Television, which resulted in Mobridge residents having access to more than two channels of television. Nadine had many accomplishments throughout her life, namely that she finished raising six children after the passing of Q.P. and worked full-time running two successful businesses. Nadine was a superior business woman in a man's world. Nadine was a sweet lady with a tough business mind and was always willing to stick up for herself, even when they told her that a woman could not start and run a successful cable television company. She cared about her employees and always made sure that they were well provided for. Nadine served on the Mobridge City Council and she was named woman of the year by the chamber of commerce. She served on many councils and boards and was active in many Mobridge clubs throughout her life and was a big supporter of the Mobridge Regional Hospital.
It was always known at the Coleman house that you entered through the garage door, you put your dishes in the dishwasher, never put your feet on the furniture and you ate what was on your plate. She was always willing to feed any child who wanted to eat with her but never took any grief from anybody. Nadine was at every sporting event her children ever had, cheering them on. She put all of her kids through college and was even willing to help them when they got into trouble. She loved to call her granddaughters snicklefritz and play tickle with them when they were young.
Nadine met and in 1982 married Marvin Gill and gained three more children, Marlin, Candy and Kory Gill. At that time, she moved with her family to the San Diego area. The family returned to Mobridge in 1985. Where she continued to run KOLY Radio and Mobridge Cable Television. Mobridge Cable TV was sold in 1994. She sold the radio station in 1997.
Casketbearers are Kenny Gill, Brent Gill, Dustin Gill, Kory Gill, Marlin Gill, and Richard Enright. Eucharistic minister, Jo Ann Omafray.

Nadine is survived by her husband of 31 years, Marvin D. Gill. Her six children, Richard Coleman, Randy (Maria)Coleman, Bradley Coleman, Patrick (Alberto) Coleman, Rodney Coleman, Jennifer (Mike) Coleman. Her three step-children, Kory, Candy and Marlin Gill. Her grandchildren Jessica (Dale), Lexi (Marc), Emily, Madison, Sabrina, Jace and Lyric. Six step-grandchildren. Her great-grandchildren, Vicki Lee and Kolby. Her sisters, Karen (Bob) McGuire, Deloras Kraft, Sister Phyllis Gill, her brother Larry (Janet) Gill. Her close friends Gwen Grad, Ardie Scott, Marge Perman and Darlene Davidson and all of her "Thirsty Thursday" gals and bridge club ladies.

Preceding her in death are her parents, her brother-in-law, Andy Kraft, and her infant daughter, Crystal and first husband, Q.P. Coleman.
