Memorial service for Myrtle LeBeau, age 84, of Eagle Butte will be 10 AM MT Saturday, November 10, 2012 at St. John's Episcopal Church in Eagle Butte. Burial will be in the St. Paul's Episcopal Cemetery in LaPlant, SD under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge, SD. Mrs. LeBeau passed away Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Mobridge Regional Hospital in Mobridge, SD after a recent illness.

Myrtle Yellow Hawk LeBeau was born on February 09, 1928 to Mathew Yellow Hawk and Lena Pretty Sounding Flute. They lived near LaPlant, South Dakota and later moved to the Old Agency. There after they lived near the Cheyenne River where her father was a care taker of a church.

Myrtle began her school years at the Old Agency and completed up to the 8th grade in Lower Brule. On September 30, 1950 she married Phillip Le Beau in Gettysburg, SD, to this union there were six sons and two daughters; also four step daughters and two step sons.

She is survived by two sons: Robert Pretty Boy, Corbin B. Le Beau, and two daughters Karen J. Le Beau-Garreau (Jeff Garreau), Wendy B. LeBeau (Terry O'Neal) One step son-Hank Le Beau and three step daughters; Lavera Lavelle, Francine Iron Wing, Colette Iron Hawk. Myrtle was blessed with 17 grand children and 18 great grand children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, two sisters, four sons-Phillip Lyle Le Beau, Kevin Lynn Le Beau, Fain Irving Le Beau, Barrend Earl Le Beau one step son-Dyle Le Beau, also one step daughter-Lillian Chase, and one grandson-Bradley Phillip Le Beau.

It was Myrtle's wish to have her ashes interred with her husband of 35 years Phillip Le Beau at the St. Paul's Cemetery in LaPlant, South Dakota.
