Obituary

Funeral services for Milton Roebuck, age 85, of Mobridge will be at 2 PM, Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mobridge. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be at 3 PM Friday with a prayer service at 7 PM at the funeral home. Milton passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Golden Living Center of Mobridge.

Milton Dean Roebuck was born on October 15, 1927 to Jake and Dorothy Roebuck and grew up on a farm near Akaska. He was one of eight children. In December of 1950 he was drafted into the service where he performed many duties one of which was cook. He was discharged in December of 1952 as Sgt. Milton Roebuck. On December 7, 1954 he married Jean Swanson. They lived west of the river by Sitting Bull for a year pr so and then moved back to Mobridge where Milton worked construction. In the summer they did combining in different states for Oscar Ochsner. In June of 1955 they began their family, Brenda was born. In October of 1956 Arnie came into this world. Tracy was born in Sept. of 1960. They were all born at the Mobridge Hospital.

In 1963 they moved to Sioux Falls. They lived on a farm where they milked cows. In February of 1963 John was born and in November of 1964 the last member of the family Glenn was born. In 1969 they moved to Timber Lake and lived with Ivan and Lorraine Roebuck until they rented the Dave Opp place and again milked cows. They lived there until 1971 when they moved to the farm southeast of Mobridge and set up their milking operation. In 1983 they moved back into Mobridge.

Some of the other jobs they had during their years of marriage are working for the railroad, bar tending and cooking for the Eagles and Moose Clubs, city sanitation, owning and operating the Twilight Bar in Glenham.

Milton is survived by, five children Brenda Roebuck of Sioux Falls, Arnold (Patty) Roebuck of Glenham, Tracy (Jody) Goetz of Mobridge, John (Cheryl) Roebuck of Wolsey, and Glen (Ruth) Roebuck of Huron, two sisters, Vereen Faehnrich of Mobridge and Dorothy Hawkins of Billings, MT, 11 grandchildren, Jesse, Timmy, and Jason Roebuck, Jennifer Gorsuch, Jamie Fees, Jacob and James Roebuck, Amy, Teresa, and Dallas Roebuck, and Cody Holzer, 4 great grandchildren and one on the way and one Special Little Dog Buster.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jean, two sisters, Elma Perman and Elanor Norton, three brothers, Ivan, Earl, and Bud.

Casketbearers will be Dallas Roebuck, Jesse Roebuck, Tim Roebuck, James Roebuck, Jake Roebuck, Jason Roebuck, Cody Holzer and Mark Mastel.

Honorary bearers will be Milton's Granddaughters, Jamie Fees, Jennifer Gorsuch, Amy Roebuck, Teresa Roebuck, great grandchildren, Tyler, Piper, and Addison and all Milton's friends and reletives.
