Funeral services for Miles Miller, 37, of Timber Lake will be at 10 AM MT, Monday, February 7, 2022, at the Timber Lake Community Center. Burial will be at the Timber Lake Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Wake services will be at 7 PM at the community center. Miles passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022, at the Eagle Butte IHS.
Miles Marne Miller Miles Marne Miller "TaSunke Tate" was born on August 10, 1984 in Eagle Butte SD to Donita Mellette and the late Milo Miller. Miles lived all his life in Timber Lake where he went to school and later graduated from Tiospaye Topa High School in 2004. Miles played basketball and also coached the team. He was a jack of all trades and above all loved working with horses. He sang with many drum groups during pow wow season and later he and his brothers formed their own drum group called Walking Thunder. Miles participated in our Lakota spiritual ceremonies and faith in the creator and helped many relatives.
Miles didn't have children of his own but has many nieces and nephews that he loved very much like his own. He was a good uncle, brother and pa-pa. Miles will be missed by his many friends and relatives.
He is survived by; his mother, Donita (Ben) Mellette, brother Wylie Miller-Eagle Butte, sisters Julia Miller-Rapid City and Ashley Miller-Timber Lake, many cousins, nieces, nephew, aunties, uncles, and grandkids. He is preceded in death by his father Milo Miller, brother Justin Miller, and sister Margo Miller, paternal grandparents William SR. and Martina Miller, Rita Miller, maternal grandparents Bill Buckley, Rose Shelltrack, aunts Karen Miller, Williamette Miner, and uncle Dennis Buckley. Uncle Joe Tiona, Grandma Darlene Lablanc & Grandpa Matt Bear Eagle.
