Memorial services for Melissa Stover, 53, of Timber Lake will be at 10 AM, Friday, July 9, 2021 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Timber Lake. Melissa passed away Sunday, July 4, 2021, at the Mobridge Regional Hospital. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements.

Melissa Ann Berndt was born in Mobridge SD on May 24th 1968, to Duwane and Betty (Klein) Berndt.  She grew up and attended school in Herreid, graduating in 1986.  She married John Stover in 1995 and had two sons, Austin and Justin.  Along with raising her two boys she always enjoyed kids, working in daycare, at schools, and was currently employed at Timber Lake School.  Missy always enjoyed outdoor activities with her boys, spending anytime she could camping, fishing, and hiking in the Hills. Missy was preceded in death by her grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.  She is survived by her sons, Justin and Austin Stover, both of Timber Lake SD, her parents, Betty and Duwane Berndt of Herreid SD, and her brother Randy Berndt of Custer SD. And of course, all her friends, coworkers, and large extended family.
