Memorial services for Mary C. Village Center 76 of McLaughlin will be Wednesday Sept. 22, 2010 at 11:00 AM CT at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, with Fr. Ron Garry officiating. Burial will be in the St. Aloysius Catholic Church under the direction of the Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Mary Village Center passed away Sept. 15, 2010 at the Mobridge Regional Hospital in Mobridge.

Mary Christine Village Center was born on December 24, 1933 in Little Eagle, SD to Joseph and Agnes (Looking Elk) Village Center, Sr. Mary grew up on the family ranch. They homesteaded southwest of Little Eagle, SD, along the Grand River. She received part of her education at the Little Eagle Day School and graduated at Stephen Mission High School in Highmore, SD. She then graduated from Standing Rock College and went on to work at Bear Soldier bingo hall for numerous years and other jobs.

She was a single person throughout her life time and had no children. Mary showed heartfelt generosity to nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She will be remembered for honesty, kindness, and willingness to help people. Mary was a devoted Christian throughout her life time.

Mary is survived by one brother Leonard of Fort Yates, ND and one sister Dorothy of Tucson, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her wonderful parents, four brothers, and one sister.
