Funeral services for Martha Renz, 96, of Herreid will be at 10:30 AM, Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Herreid Baptist Church. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Martha passed away Friday, January 27, 2017 at Avera Eureka Health Care Center in Eureka.

Martha (Quenzer) Renz was born August 21, 1920 to Karl and Marie (Brockel) Quenzer at Mound City, SD. She attended country school while growing up on the family farm.
Martha married August Renz Jr, on December 16, 1945 at Herreid Baptist Church. They moved to the Renz Family Farm in 1948 and farmed until December 1986, when they moved to Herreid, SD for their retirement years.

She was a member of the Herreid Baptist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary for 39 years and the Senior Citizens.

Martha's husband passed away in 2009. In November 2015 Martha moved to the Avera Eureka Health Care Center where she has since resided.

Martha is survived by her two daughters Shirley Renz, Pierre, SD and Judy (Ted) Steinbach, Herreid, SD, also surviving are three grandchildren, Shelly (Chris) Likness, Aberdeen, SD, Susan Maisch of Aberdeen, SD and Brad (Brandi) Steinbach, of Herreid, SD, six great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and three step great-great-grandchildren, brother Albert (Alvina) Quenzer Eureka/Aberdeen, SD and sister Irene Renz of Clinton, UT

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, brothers Art, Ed, Adam, Teddy, Johnie, Karl, sister Esther Wittmeier.
