Marquita Rose Sims (Quita) born on March 22, 1990 to Glen Sims Sr. & Marion Louise Kills Crow in Milwaukee, Wi. She was moved back to Minneapolis MN as an infant to live with her Aunt Nina Mata & family.   Quita was the baby of the family.

When she was a young adolescent, she lost several people from her life, her baby sister, her mother, maternal grandmother, and her dad. She went through the tough times but hung in there with her counseling and pushing herself to achieve better things in life. She had dreams of furthering her education which she took to heart and took classes online. Every completed course was a challenge, but she continued.

Marquita's life was centered around her little family, spending as much time with them. She always talked about having her son Elias with her so he can be near his siblings. She stayed in contact with Elias, encouraging him to stay in school and to continue with sports.

Marquita is survived by her children, Elias Sims of Little Eagle, Ameliana, Joshua & Joseph and her long-time campion Luis Gonzalez of Cottage Grove MN.

She also has her Mother/Aunt Nina Mata of Little Eagle, 3 sisters, Pam Mata of Mobridge, Jamie & Bernadette Mata of Minneapolis MN, 4 brothers, James, David & Lance of Minneapolis, Daniel of Wyoming, MN.   Other biological siblings are Mario Kills Crow and Matthew Mountain of Battle Creek, MI, and Michelle Kills Crow of Wakpala, SD.

Preceded in death are her parents, baby sister, maternal grandparents, Trevian Long Elk and Andrew Kills Crow JR. and her Papa Alex Mata & her brother Michael Mata.
