Funeral service for Marlon John (Johnny) Village Center, age 59 of McLaughlin, SD entered the spirit world on January 24, 2021. Celebration of Life Service will be on Noon on Wednesday February 3, 2021 at Prairie Bible Church 216 2 nd Ave. East, McLaughlin, SD. Officiating will be Pastor Donna Archambault and Pastor Buford Marsh. Interment will be in the McLaughlin City Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will 2 hours prior to the service at the church.

Marlon John Village Center (Johnny) was born September 14, 1961 to William Frank Village Center and Leona Marie (Archambault) Village Center at Fort Yates, North Dakota. He was the youngest of nine children and raised in Fort Yates, North Dakota, later moving to McLaughlin, SD.

Marlon John attended the Prairie Bible Church, he was very interested in learning all he could about Jesus and was an avid reader of religious books and enjoyed religious movies. He was an easy going person and kind decent human being, he was never purposely mean to anyone. He will be missed by everyone he knew especially his family.

Johnny is survived by daughters; Carrie Bohlander (Charlies Froehlich) of Selby, SD, Shyla Jere (Robert Gomez, of Lake Jackson, Texas, Alexandria Archambault of Bismarck, ND, and Joshua Defender (Angel Rose) Aberdeen, SD.

Carrie's family; Mariah (Sheldon) Sauer and their daughters Keegan, Kayson and Kais, son, Kenton Lindsay, Shyla's family; Jacube Village Center, Tyrone Thompson, Jewell Thompson, Neil Thompson Jr., Joseph Morales Jr., Alexandria's family; Karsten, Nathaniel, Alynndra, James Jr., and Matthias; Joshua's family; daughter, Zadarius Ray Spirit.

Sisters; Carol Gipp of Bismarck, ND, Linda Village Center of Fort Yates, ND, Toni Village Center, Alexandria VA. Irma Annis, McLaughlin, SD, Kathy  Village Center of Beulah, ND, Marlene (Steve) McLaughlin, Fort Thompson, SD.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; parental grandparents, James and Helen (Standing Cloud) Village Center, Maternal grandparents, John Archambault and Margaret (Little Eagle) Elk Nation, brother William F. Village Center, sisters; Joyce Rush, Tina Hertel and Velma Village Center, nieces; Mandy McLaughlin, Phoebe Silk; nephews; Steve McLaughlin Jr., Blue Annis, Ira and Rocky Archambault.
