Funeral services for Marilyn Jo Iron Horn, 36, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota will be at 11 AM (CT), Thursday, September 28, 2023, at The Blue Gym in Little Eagle. Burial will be at Messiah Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation and all-night wake will begin at 7 PM, Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at The Blue Gym. Marilyn passed away Thursday, September 21, 2023, in Sioux Falls.

Marilyn Jo was born on December 18, 1986, to Eldon and Jessica Reed, she had three brothers and two sisters: Percy, Jesse, Eldon Jr. (Bug) Pertina and Elvita. She was educated in Little Eagle, Standing Rock and Sherman Indian High School. She lived in Las Vegas, Nevada with her brother, Jesse Brownotter.

Marilyn married Norman Red Legs and Diamond and Dustin were born. She then married Lyle Iron Horn and Bright Star and Zuya Iron Horn were born. She moved to Sioux Falls where she went to bed and never woke up.

Marilyn had many friends in Standing Rock as well as Sioux Falls and anywhere she went. She has many relatives and was loved by everyone; she had a very good heart.

Marilyn had a Hunka Mother, Lynn Cadotte that she would stay with when she came back from Sioux Falls for visits. Marilyn was known as (Dad's egg). She was very special to him, whenever the kids wanted to do something, they made her ask and they got their way.

Marilyn will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Rest Easy sister, brothers waiting for you.
