Funeral services for Marie Norby, age 89, of Mobridge will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, December 27, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mobridge. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will start at 3 PM Sunday with a prayer service at 7 PM at the funeral home.
Marie passed away Dec. 23rd, 2010 at the Mobridge Regional Hospital from complications following a stroke she suffered the previous week.

Marie was born April 5th, 1921 in Hettinger, N.D., to Albert and Enid Anfinson. She attended business school in Watertown, S.D. and was later employed as a secretary with Montana Dakota Utilities from which she later retired.

Marie was a long term resident of Mobridge having moved there in 1942 from Hettinger, N.D. withher devoted husband Carl who has always been known to refer to her affectionately as "Angel." She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Church Circle LLCW, Christian Women's Club, Eastern Star, and Women of the Moose. She loved music and dancing and her hobbies included playing Bridge and all types of card games with her many friends and with her family.

Marie is survived by her adoring husband Carl and her children Colleen Cheskey (Curtis) of Mobridge, S.D., Sharon (Ron) Frederickson of Milaca, Mn., Bruce (Cheryl) Norby of Rapid City, S.D., one sister Lorene Hall of Richmond, Va., seven grandchildren, and twelve great grand-children.
