Funeral services for Magdalene Long Feather, 80, of McLaughlin will be at 11 AM, Saturday, February 27, 2016 at the Messiah Church. An all night wake will be at 5 PM with services at 7 PM at the church on Friday. Burial will be at Good Shepherd Episcopal Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Magdalene passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Mobridge Regional Hospital.

Magdalene Hope, affectionately known as Maggie, was born March 9, 1935 to Truby Turning Heart and Julia Black Fox. She was born at Little Oak Creek and entered into eternal rest in Mobridge, SD. She is an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe.



She made her home on Standing Rock all her life and was a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.



Maggie enjoyed Bingo, pow wows, visiting grandchildren, attending church wherever she could and making hand made quilts.



She married Emanuel Martinez Sr. Five children were born to this marriage. She then married Emmett Long Feather. Eight children were born to this marriage. She was very proud to be a mother of seven veterans.



Maggie is survived by her children, Emanuel (Ruth) Martinez, Poplar, MT, Adrian (Helene) Martinez, Eagle Butte, Marliss Marshall, Bull Head, Rhea (Lee) Archambault, McLaughlin Toni Brigham, Montana, Janelle Jones, Minnesota, Charlene Long Feather, Little Eagle, Cletus (Brenda) Long Feather, McLaughlin, Wesley Long Feather, Bismarck, ND, Muriel Long Feather, McLaughlin, 42 Grandchildren, 52 Great Grandchildren, 12 Great Great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, Sisters, Cordelia (Russell) Benoist, Faye (Late Chet) Condon, Eagle Butte, Trevian Hairy Chin, Bull Head, Brothers, Russell Flying By, Eagle Butte, Wilbur Flying By, McLaughlin, Myron (Terri) Flying By, Cherry Creek, Adopted, Lester Big Crane, Montana, Dave Wutzke, McLaughlin, Allen Fox, Bull Head, Mark Grey Cloud, Cannon Ball, David Running Hawk, McLaughlin, Leah Long Feather, Kenneth Walks, McLaughlin.
