Funeral services for Lucia Raylene Hairy Chin, 57, of McLaughlin will be at 1 PM, Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the McLaughlin Blue Gym. Inurnment will be at Good Shepherd Episcopal Cemetery at a later date. Lucia passed away Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the Mobridge Regional Hospital. Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge is in charge of arrangements.

Lucia Raylene Hairy Chin was born on October 26th 1967 at the old hospital in Ft.Yates, ND to Angeline Qualtiere and Donald Hairy Chin Sr. She had one brother Donald Hairy Chin Jr, & two sisters Velnita Hairy Chin & Rosette Hairy Chin. She was raised by her father's brother Quentin Hairy Chin and Trevian Hairy Chin. She spent her childhood years in Bullhead SD. She attended Kindergarten through 8th Grade at the Rock Creek Day School. She then attended 9th grade to 11th Grade at the St.Mary's School for girls in Springfield, SD. From then on 1987 she married Marvin Otter Robe, and they had 3 sons, Trevor, Taylor & Trent Otter Robe. 1991 she married Thomas Long Feather Jr. They had, Thomasine, Margaret, Marietta Long Feather & Truby Hairy Chin. She then married Leroy Weasel and they had Lydia Marie Weasel. She loved to do puzzles, going to watch powwows, she loved to cook & bake. We'll forever miss her joking, laughing, singing & her baking her pineapple upside cakes. Lucia entered the spirit world on January 12th 2025 at the Mobridge Regional Hospital in Mobridge South Dakota. Doksha ake, wacinkikta iná.

Lucia is survived by her sister's Velnita Hairy Chin of Aberdeen SD, Rosette Hairy Chin of Bismarck, ND, children, Trevor Otter Robe of Sioux Falls, SD Taylor Otter Robe of Bismarck, ND, Trent Otter Robe of Tacoma, Washington. Thomasine and Marietta Long Feather of Mobridge, SD & Truby Hairy Chin and Lydia Weasel of McLaughlin SD. & Grandchildren, Taylon & Dorian Long Feather, Thomia & Tatum Red Bear, Benjamin Otter Robe, Trinity Otter Robe, & Teigan Long Feather & Emilia Faye Weasel.

Lucia is proceeded in death by her daughter Margaret Long Feather, Parents Donald Hairy Chin Sr., Angeline Qualtiere, Adopted Parents, Quentin Hairy Chin, Trevian Hairy Chin, brother Donald Hairy Chin Jr. & Her love Marlon Bad Warrior. & Hunka sister Tanya Leaf.
