Funeral services for Lorretta Fritz, age 89, of Mobridge and formerly of Isabel will be at 10:30 AM MT, Saturday, December 22, 2012, at the United Church of Christ in Isabel. Burial will be at Hillview Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Friday at the church. Lorretta passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Mobridge Regional Hospital.

Lorretta was born on January 31, 1923 in Ashley, ND to Chris and Rosina (Ehly) Stein. Lorretta's family moved to Isabel shortly after she was born. She graduated from Isabel High School in 1942. She worked at the Isabel Drug Store and Elfrink grocery store. She married Albert Fritz on April 5, 1945 in Isabel. They made their home northwest of Isabel for some time before moving into Isabel. She also worked at Scholl's Hardware Store until retiring. In 2009 she moved to Mobridge then in Nov. 2012 entered the Selby Good Samaritan Center.

She enjoyed gardening, fishing, taking care of her house and spending time with Albert. She was a member of the United Church Christ, Legion Auxiliary and the local birthday club. She was also active in the Senior Citizens and custodian at her church.

Lorretta is survived by her daughter-in-law, Joann Fritz of Trail City, grandchildren, Warren (Karalee) Fritz of Miles City, MT, and Marci Fritz of Orlando, FL, great grandchildren, Jack and Henry Fritz, Nieces, Joan Brodin of Vancouver, WA and Cris Marie (Gary) Petik of Brookings, nephew, Wes (Gerlyn) Stein of Pierre.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert, son, Dennis, sisters, Lenora and Aljean and brother, Lawrence.

Memorials may be directed towards the UCC Church in Isabel.
