Funeral services for Lorene "Joyce" Red Dog, 76 of Cannon Ball, will be at 11 AM, Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Cannon Ball Red Gym. Burial will be at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Lorene passed away January 29, 2023 at Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck.

Lorene "Joyce" Red Dog was born on September 22, 1946 in Cannonball to Paul Sr. and Agnes (Two Shields) Red Dog.

Lorene worked as a cook at the Ft. Yates, North Dakota Nutrition Center for 10 years and in Dallas, Texas for 5 years. Lorene worked at the Doublewood Inn in Bismarck, North Dakota for 20 years before retiring.

Although Lorene had no children of her own, she was a very giving, caring and loving woman that helped raise many of her nieces and nephews.

Lorene is survived by her brother, Paul Bruno Red Dog of Cannonball, sister, Paula (Felix Sr.) Lee, Nieces, Priscilla Lee and Kimmy Jo Red Dog nephews, Felix R. Lee Jr., Donovan Lee, James (Lenora) Lee, and Jody Dean (Effie) Lee, grandsons, Jeremy Lee, Aaron Lee, Taylian Lee, Donovan Lee Jr., Joshua Lee, Joe Lee, Brandon Lee, and Joey Begay, Jr.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Red Dog Sr. and Agnes (Two Shields) Red Dog, brother, Antoine Butch Red Dog and sister Lucille Red Dog.
