Funeral services for Linda L. Good House, 62, of Mobridge, SD, are 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 27, 2015, at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Kenel, SD. Burial at the Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation is 5-7 p.m., with rosary 7 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2015, at Kesling Funeral Chapel of Mobridge. Linda Good House (Walking Elk) entered the spirit world on Saturday, June 20, 2015, at her home in Mobridge, SD at the age of 62.

Linda was born on May 5, 1953, to Gilbert "Otis" and Margret Walking Elk at their home in Kenel, SD. She grew up in Kenel, attended the Kenel Day school through 8th grade and attended high school at the McLaughlin Public School.

After high school, Linda moved to Fort Lewis, Washington, and then to the bay area of San Francisco, California, where she gave birth to her son Travis. While living in California Linda earned a degree as a dental assistant.

Missing her family and home, she returned to South Dakota where she met the love of her life, Gary Good House, in 1982. Gary and Linda were married on October 5, 1988, and had three children, Jonathan, Lindsey, and Geri.

In 1987, Linda and her family moved to Watertown, SD, where she attended Lake Area VoTech and earned a degree as a Human Service Technician. Linda also attended Sitting Bull College and graduated in 2002 with an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Linda worked various jobs throughout her life, but found working with children the most rewarding. Linda was an excellent cook and in her free time enjoyed playing bingo and visiting with family and friends. The joy of Linda's life were her grandchildren; she was a loving and devoted grandmother who spent every free moment she had with them.

Linda is survived by her husband, Gary Good House; son, Travis (Jody) Wingate; daughters, Lindsey Good House and Geri (Zach Wagner) Good House; grandchildren, Taylor, Abigail, Summer, Kyler, Kayslin, Amaiya, Gabreana, Madison, and Alexa; brothers, Clyde "Butch" Walking Elk, Clifford Walking Elk, Charles "Gill" Walking Elk and Louis "Eugene" (Terry) Walking Elk.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert "Otis" Walking Elk and Margret Walking Elk (Martin); son, Jonathan Good House; sisters, Kathleen Walking Elk, Susan Fischer, and Bernadine Yellow Hammer; brothers, Nathan "Redd" Walking Elk, Larry Bendickson, and Robert Renville Bear King.
