Lillian Eagle, 46, of Ft. Yates, passed away, Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at IHS Hospital in Ft. Yates. A procession will leave from Kesling Funeral Home at 12:00 PM, Saturday, December 7, 2024, to St. Elizabeth's Cemetery near Wakpala. A graveside service will be held at that time.

Lillian Alvina Eagle, was born on September 18th, 1978, in Fort Yates N.D to Bernadine Jean Eagle. She went to Standing Rock Elementary and Graduated in May 1997 from Standing Rock High School. She also attended Sitting Bull College. She worked at the Missouri Drift Inn, Hagels Gas Station and Prairie Knights Casino & Resort.

Lillian had many nicknames growing up, 'Fats', 'Putskie', 'Bug', & 'Lillz' and "GrammaWheels", which was given to her by her grandson Cassius who was always 'fixing' her wheels. Lillian did what she wanted, how she wanted and no one could tell her differently.

She enjoyed the company of friends and family, listening to music, telling "war stories", and sharing "bar' laughs. She was always down for a "session" and a game of 10,000 or whist whenever the occasion arose.  She had tablets upon tablets of "Best of 3" matches and who she played. Lillian was a kind and generous soul.

She always helped people however she could. She opened her home to countless friends and family over the years, made sure different ones at least ate something, and of course always had an "extra cig" when asked.

Lillian felt her children were her biggest & best accomplishments. Lillian and Joel Running Bear birthed her first child Jaelee Yana Running Bear, on December 4th, 2003. Lillian welcomed her second daughter with then husband Shay Tree Top, Hazel Constance Lee Tree Top, who was born on August 1st, 2008, and Lillian welcomed her first precious granddaughter Raya Yana Flying By, October 26, 2024, proud parents Jaelee & Gideon Flying By.
