Funeral services for Lewellyn Foote, age 66, of Minneapolis will be at 11 AM Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Bullhead School Gym. Burial will be at St. John's Episcopal Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. An all night wake will begin at 5 PM Sunday at the gym. Lewellyn passed away March 29, 2012 in Minneapolis.

Llewellyn "Louie" Foote was born on March 3, 1946 to Evelyn Foote and Patrick Foote Sr. He lived in Bullhead until the age of 9 then he attended St. Joseph Boarding School in Chamberlain when he completed that he moved back to Bullhead. In 1976 he moved to St. Paul where he met his wife La Vita in 1977 and married in 1984, in those years they lived various places until 2004 where he spent his remaining years in Minneapolis.

Louie loved being with family and friends and enjoyed singing at pow-wows and teaching the native youth about their culture and traditions. He also enjoyed singing ROCK and ROLL, especially Elvis Presley. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who, enjoyed laughing and telling stories.

He worked at the St. Paul Como Zoo when he first moved to Minnesota. Later he worked as a CD Advocate and was very proud of his 40 years of sobriety. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughters, Daneen Foote, Alaina Foote, Renelle Foote, Dacia Lussier. Son, Patrick Foote. Grandchildren, Shalene Foote, Keena Roberts, Adrian Lussier, Leon Lussier, Jada Lussier, Olivia Lussier, Alexis Foote, Cameron Foote, McConnell Foote.

He was preceded in death by his mother Evelyn Foote, father Patrick Foote, Sr., brothers Mark Foote, Joseph Foote, Jr., and Patrick Foote, Jr., sister Delphine Foote, nephews Justin Bullhead and Antoinie Ramsey.
