Funeral services Lester Garnett age 90 of Mobridge formally of Isabel will be 2:00 PM Monday, January 9, 2017 at Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Interment will be in the Hillview Cemetery at a later date under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to services time on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the funeral home. Lester passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Golden Living Center.

He was born on August 23, 1926 on the farm to Ralph and Martha (Zanke) Garnett at Glad Valley, SD.
Lester attended school in the Glad Valley area until he started working on the farm with his father. Lester was a very quiet man. He enjoyed staying on the farm. After his father's death he took care of his mother until her passing.
He enjoyed working with his sheep and doing field work, mowing the hay fields, helping his neighbors. He livid on the farm until moving into the Golden Living Center in 2000. Lester was liked by everyone he met.
Lester met a lot of people from the Golden Living Center during all his years he was there.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Lester is survived by his sister Grace Bryant, numerous nieces and nephews.
Lester is preceded in death by his parents, brother Floyd, two babies in infancy, Florence and Clarence, 2 nephews.
