LeRoy Carlson passed away at the age of 81 on January 13, 2025, due to smoke inhalation. LeRoy was born May 21, 1943, to Eddie and Doris Carlson in Webster, South Dakota and moved with his family to Turlock, CA as a young child. He worked with his father in a paint store and painting homes until he moved back to Webster in 1979. In 1983, he moved to Mobridge and bought the Harvest Restaurant. He also bought and remodeled 40 homes. He never wanted to see a house torn down. He always saw the potential in a house. To this day, when we see a white house with black shutters we say, "That's a house dad did". In 1995, he moved to Reno, Nevada where he lived and remodeled houses. In August of 2021, he moved back to Mobridge and again started painting and remodeling homes. Among his hobbies were remodeling 8N and 9N Ford Tractors. He was always on the lookout to restore anything back to its original glory.

LeRoy is survived by his children; Ranae (Gordie) Hedges, Randy (Memorie) Carlson, Robert (Desiree Blankhartz), Lisa (Mike) Rath. Grandchildren: Brandon (Lakeisha) Carlson, Tyler Carlson, Jayla Carlson, Matic Rath, Oakley Rath, McKensie (Carl) Sheldon. Great Grandchildren: Leighana and Ledger Carlson, Samson and Sloan Sheldon.

LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents: Eddie and Doris Carlson, brother Vern Carlson and infant sister, Linda Carlson.
