LeRoy graduated from Napoleon High School in 1958 and went on to Stevenson Auto and Electrical School in Kansas City, MO for training in auto mechanics and graduated on September 15, 1961. He was very good at this and used it throughout his life and passed this trade on to his sons. LeRoy married Carmen Brandner on May 28, 1966 in Herreid. His last job was for Shawn Ritter, a farmer at Venturia. He worked there until he couldn't work and was there for 15 years. This was his favorite job. He dug many rocks and had pictures of the big ones, which he shared with anyone that would look! LeRoy and Shawn became lifetime buddies.
