Obituary

Mass of Christian Burial for Leo Roshau, 84 of Mobridge will be at 10 AM, Saturday February 20, 2010 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mobridge. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will start at 3 PM on Friday with a Rosary and Scriptural service at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Leo on passed away February 17, 2010 at the Highmore HealthCare Center in Highmore, SD.


Leo Roshau was born on September 7, 1925 on the family farm west of Trail City to Adolph and Mary (Malsom) Roshau. Leo married Elizabeth Kuhn on October 28, 1952 and together they ran the family farm near Trail City until he retired in 1990. After retirement they moved into Mobridge where he remained an active member at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. His faith was very important to him shown by his devotion to the daily Rosary. Leo remained in Mobridge until moving into the Highmore Healthcare Center in July of 2009.



Leo enjoyed fishing, playing cards, softball, playing the accordion, and pitching horseshoes. He was also an avid Minnesota Twins fan.



Leo is survived by his children, Mike (Susie) Roshau of Mobridge, Rose (Ron) Espeland of Bismarck, ND, David (Susan) Roshau of Holabird, SD, Theresa (Ed) Westcott of Holabird, SD, and Joe (Heidi) Roshau of Mobridge; grandchildren, Christin (Ryan), Brandi, Eric, Megan, Kayla, Chris (Katie), Jill, Cameron, Reed, Bailey, and Jesse; great-grandchildren, Kealie, Myah, Logan, Teagyn, Nash, Geremi, Lexus, Hannah, Kennedy, Aidyn and Asher; sisters, Katie Baker of Rapid City, Eleanor Jenkins of Parish, NY and Virginia (Ray) Frigon of Syracuse, NY.



Leo is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Elizabeth, and brother, Linus.



Casketbearers will be Mike Roshau, David Roshau, Joe Roshau, Eric Roshau, Chris Westcott, and Cameron Westcott.



Ushers are Leo & Elizabeth's godchildren, Wade Keller and Annie Hintz.



Lector will be Reed Westcott. Gift Bearers will be Bailey and Jesse Roshau.
