Ranching was Lenny's life in 1996 he bought out his parents ranch, raised cows and sheep for family members plus taking care of his own, he had a lot of love in his heart for raising good cattle. Lenny worked several jobs in his life but the most he talked about was working for Dave Doan's gas station and working for the BIA Land Operation where he called his co-workers my BIA family friends.
Lenny left a lot of good trails, he enjoyed being with his friends, laughing, sharing several buds, millers and captains, and just shoot'n the bull, he played pool with his buddies, he was on several teams throughout the years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing going to concerts, playing in poker tourney, attending all of Rardy's basketball, baseball and football games and participating in events his grandchildren were in. Lenny was so excited when the Bollingers and his nephew Daryl took him to the Kansas City Chiefs game "Lenny said that was my wish" and it came true, he also went to Knoxvile Iowa for the car races with Todd Ludeman, Terry Cort, Rick Hayes, Rardy and Daryl.
Lenny went to be with his Best Friend – his Dad Leonard I. Cook, and Good ole boys, Shane, Jace, Jeff, Rodney and Wes, and by many relatives from the Cook, Dalgren, Traversie, Veit, Stocklin and Moran families in God's heavenly kingdom. Lenny was faithful to the word of God, he enjoyed watching Pastor Joel Osteen on TV, he believed in eternal life and the power of prayer.
Lenny leaves us to carry on and asks that we get pre-screened for cancer, he says this disease comes along with many poisons that go into your body and you can be with your love one's longer if you get checked. Lenny got the cancer in June of 2011 the cancer was found at stage four he had a uphill battle and he would come close to getting the tumors down and they would come right back, but because of all your prayers he was able to extend his life for 2 years 6 months. Lenny was so thankful for all the of business who helped him out so much during this time to keep his ranch going.
Lenny's wife, children and grandchildren are so thankful that he had all the wonderful support of his friends, who left their busy day and would stop to help him and also for the wonderful fun fund raisers. We Thank you with all are hearts God Bless you all.
