Obituary

Mass of Christian Burial for Lawrence Brandner, age 90, of Herreid will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Herreid. Burial will be in St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Wed. Dec. 21. 2011from 5PM to 7:30 PM with a Rosary at 7:30 at the church. Lawrence passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Golden Living Center in Mobridge.

Lawrence Brandner was born on July 7, 1921 in Herreid to Simon and Josephine (Reible) Brandner.
Lawrence was born and raised on the family farm where he continued to live until his death.
Lawrence graduated from the Herreid High School. Lawrence served in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1947 and was stationed in China.
He married Mary Miller on November 22, 1949 at Hague, ND.
Lawrence enjoyed his livestock and farming going to the casinos.
He enjoyed going to livestock sales and Fridays were reserved for the livestock sales.

He will be greatly missed by his family.

Lawrence is survived by his wife of 62 years Mary Brandner, of Herreid, his children Beverly Owsley and her husband (Rick) of Gillette, WY, Sylvia Bauer and her husband (Herman) of Bismarck, ND, Allan Brandner of Ipswich, Mary Lee Hilt and her husband (Terry) of Bismarck, ND, Myron Brandner and his wife (Sheila) of Sioux Falls, Raymond Brandner and his wife (Sandra) of Herreid Victor Brandner of Sioux Falls, Michael Brandner of Herreid, Priscilla Hieb and her husband (Todd) of Eureka, grandchildren, Todd Rahskopf, Traci (Jeff) Ritchie, Ryan (Sheena) Bauer, Shawn (Jessica) Bauer, Tara Brandner, Trevor Brandner, Natalie Hilt, Brittany Hilt, Ashley Brandner, Amber Brandner, Miles Brandner, Chase Brandner, Sadie Brandner, Nathan (Myranda) Brandner, Elyse Hieb, Allison Hieb, four great-grandchildren, Connor Ritchie, Hollie Ritchie, Zoe Bauer, Alexys Brandner.

He was preceded in death by is parents, four brothers, five sisters, one granddaughter, Stephanie Hilt, one great-grandson Peter Rahskopf.
