Funeral services for LaVonne Milliken, 83, of Mobridge, formerly of Timber Lake, SD, will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 16, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Mobridge. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, at Kesling Funeral Chapel. Burial will be 1:00 PM, MT, Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis, SD. under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home. LaVonne passed away on February 10, 2015, at the Golden Living Care Center, Mobridge.

LaVonne (Myers) Milliken was born on September 6, 1931, in rural Timber Lake to Charlie and Louise (Baier) Myers.

LaVonne married Robert Milliken on January 19, 1948, and the two made their home on various farms in Dewey and Corson counties. They eventually purchased the Walt Donald farm in 1958. LaVonne spent her time helping with the duties on the farm, caring for the home and raising her four children.

After the passing of her husband Robert in 1997 LaVonne moved to Mobridge and later entered the Golden Living Center.

LaVonne is survived by her children, Carey Miller of Rapid City, SD, Clayton (Judy) Milliken of Wright, WY, Colin (Fran) Milliken of Timber Lake, and Martin (Theresa) Milliken of Hill City, SD; her grandchildren, Eric Miller, Shane Miller, Brandon Milliken, Angie Milliken, Raquel Nachatilo, Tanner Milliken, and Nichole Jackson; her great-grandchildren, Dominick Milliken, Abigail Miller Ella Miller, Devin Smith, Hailee Milliken, Deagen Milliken, Anna Nachatilo, and Zoe Nachatilo; her brother, Lyle (Loretta) Myers of Iowa; her sisters, Loretta Olson of Spearfish, SD, Lois (Charles) Pelton of Sioux Falls, SD; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sister, Lorraine Carter; and her brother, Lamar Myers.
