Funeral service for Lavonne J. Leaf, 60, of Mandan, North Dakota will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, November 17, 2023, at the Kesling Funeral Chapel in Mobridge. Visitation will begin 1 hour prior to service. Burial will be at the Good Shepherd Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. LaVonne passed away Friday, November 3, 2023, at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck.

LaVonne Jean Leaf was born October 11, 1963, to Theresa One Feather Leaf. She was the fourth child of six.

LaVonne attended grade school at The Pierre Indian School and Little Eagle Day School. She attended high school at McLaughlin Public and later attended Job Corp in Clearwater, Utah where she achieved her diploma.

LaVonne then married and after several years, divorced. LaVonne gave birth to seven children. She finished at United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck with a certificate in Culinary Arts. She led an active life and had many, many friends.

LaVonne is survived by her children, Richard, Theresa, Trisha, Kristen, Robert, Riley and Thomasine and her grandchildren. Also surviving is her forever friend, Phillip Chapman.

LaVonne is preceded in death by her mother, sisters, one brother, grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
