Mass of Christian Burial for Lane Carry Moccasin, 16, of Ft. Yates will be at 10 AM CT on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ft. Yates. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. An all night wake will start at 5 PM Friday at the AJ Agard Memorial Gym with a Rosary service at 7 PM. Lane passed away Saturday, Nov.6, 2010 at his home in Ft. Yates.

Lane Tanner Carry Moccasin was born on May 3, 1994 in Bismarck, North Dakota to Yvette (Holy Bear) Elk and Vincent Carry Moccasin, Jr. He was raised and educated in Fort Yates where he attended high school. He loved basketball and football. He enjoyed listening to music, spending time with family and friends and riding horse. He was always laughing and smiling and playing jokes on everyone. Lane had a big heart and was loved by everyone who knew him. Lane will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his mother Yvette (Justus) Elk and his father Vince Carry Moccasin. Three brothers, Tre Holy Bear and Beau Carry Moccasin of Fort Yates, TC Carry Moccasin of Minot, ND One sister; Kaylene Carry Moccasin of Minot, ND His maternal grandmother Verlynn Holy Bear of Fort Yates, paternal grandmother Thomasine Magdalena of Utah, Uncles Ashton Painte of Bismarck, ND, Ronnie Carry Moccasin of Porcupine, Duane Carry Moccasin of New York, Aunts; Karen McLaughlin, Fort Yates, ND, Luanne Carry Moccasin of Fort Yates, ND Melanie Carry Moccasin of Utah, Adrian Carry Moccasin of Bismarck, ND and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandmas Gertrude Marshall Holy Bear, Mae White and Roletta Carry Moccasin, great grandpa Kenny Marshall, grandpa Vince Carry Moccasin, Sr. and aunt Collette Carry Moccasin.
