Funeral services for Kyle White Owl, 44, of Bismarck will be at 1 PM, Saturday, January 4, 2025, at St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in Wakpala. Burial will be at the church cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. There will be a prayer service at 7 PM at the Wakpala Community Center on Friday. Kyle passed away Friday, December 27, 2024, at his home in Bismarck.
Kyle White Owl was born on November 28, 1980, in Watford City, North Dakota to Anthony White Owl, Sr. and Velma LaFramboise. He grew up in Mandaree, North Dakota and attended pre-school. His family then moved to Minneapolis where he attended school and worked at Steve's Warehouse Grocery Store during his last year in high school. From 1996 to 1999 Kyle attended AIOIC Summer Program for roofing, landscaping, building trades and construction and graduated from Heart of the Earth School. He also attended and graduated from Bethesda College as a CNA in 1999.
All of his life he worked numerous jobs and mademany friends while working. Kyle loved everyone's company and liked to joke around and make everyone laugh. His mom said he was a jokester!
Kyle had many lifetime friends and had many experiences, adventures with all his family.
Kyle enjoyed playing cards, bartending, fishing, basketball, softball, beading and cooking. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
Kyle is survived by three sons, Kyle, Jr., Anthony and Alex, two daughters, Kyann and Kayleigh, one granddaughter, Arianna, his mother, Velma LaFramboise, father, Anthony White Owl, Sr, one sister, Krista White Owl, four brothers, Derk, Brent, Dillon and Jerry and an adopted hunka brother, Michael Wald.
Kyle was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony White Owl, Jr., grandparents, John and Rena LaFramboise and Richard and Inez White Owl, cousins, Georgia Flying Horse and Kayla Martin, also a favorite nephew, Eric Brown.
