Funeral services for Kelly Holy Bear, age 22, of Ft. Yates, ND will be at 11 AM CT, Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010 at the Kenel Catholic Church of Assumption. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. An all night wake will be on Friday at the AJ Agard Memorial Gym in Ft.Yates with services at 7 PM CT. Kelly passed away Friday, September 10, 2010 at Med Center One in Bismarck.

Kelly L. Holy Bear was born in Rapid City S.D., on May 9th, 1988. He attended school at Promise Day School, Tiospaye Topa School, and Standing Rock High School. Kelly was loved and raised by his mother Ramona Holy Bear. Kelly was very fun to be around. He liked to play with his kids (Latrishta, Shay, Bishop and Mina) and play games with soul mate Tiffany Howard. He had a good sense of humor and was always down for a good laugh. Kelly will be dearly missed.

Kelly is survived by his mother, children, aunts Lillian Chasing Bear, Samantha Martin, Alivina (Beana) Martin, Brothers, Monte Briggs, Robert Briggs,
Chandler Defender, Derek Young Eagle, Henry Martin, Victor Martin Jr. Jeremy Agard, also Dear Friends of the family Joe and Angie LeBeau, Sisters Johnnie Kay Briggs, Amanda Tapio, Tereseta Martin, and numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Manuel Chasing Bear, Uncles Darrell Defender, and Rudy Gabe.
