Keith Whitley Thompson, 30, of Aberdeen, South Dakota, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025, in Aberdeen. He was born on April 26, 1995, in Mobridge, South Dakota, to Holly Thompson.

At the age of five, Keith moved to Aberdeen, where he graduated from high school and lived for the rest of his life. Throughout the years, he held various jobs, but most recently worked at Prairie Heights Healthcare in Aberdeen. Keith loved to cook, and his coworkers and residents deeply admired him for his bright smile and caring nature. In a tribute shared by his employer, they wrote that "Keith's beaming smile and vibrant personality had a profound impact on our residents and staff. His presence was a constant source of joy, laughter, and kindness, and will forever be etched into our hearts. He will be immensely missed, but his legacy of love and laughter will live on with his work family."

Keith was creative at heart and enjoyed arts and crafts. His favorite pastime was building and customizing Gundam modeling kits, a hobby that reflected his patience, imagination, and attention to detail.

Above all, Keith was a devoted father who loved his four beautiful children: Ashten Terrance Ketterling, Keenan Joseph Thompson, and Della and Millie Thompson. His children were his greatest joy, and he always made sure they were cared for and knew how deeply they were loved.

He is survived by his mother, Holly Thompson; his brother, Darin Thompson of Aberdeen; and his sister, Teneah Thompson of Aberdeen and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins who loved him dearly. He was loved by many, and will always be remembered for his laughter, goofiness, and the ever-present smile that brightened every room he entered.

Keith will be forever remembered for his kind heart, his love for family, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.
