Funeral services for Kathy Kuzior, 66, of McLaughlin will be at 1 PM, CT, Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the LDS Church in McLaughlin. Burial will be at the LDS Cemetery in Wakpala under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Wake services will be Friday at the church at 7PM. Kathy passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the IHS Hospital in Ft. Yates, ND.
Kathleen Fern Kuzior was Born in Medina Ohio on June 7th 1947 to Patricia Mentzer and Hubert Van Deusen. She lived In Ohio Until she moved to Colorado in 1969 and Lived with her surviving Brother Martin (Troll) Van Deusen. While Living in Colorado she worked as Nurse as well as when she lived in McLaughlin SD. She Became a Nurse at the age of 18, and was the County Nurse when she first got to McLaughlin. Over the Years Kathy was a Day Care Provider and a Foster Mom as well as Running the local Theater.
Kathy Loved Children. She had up to 15 kids at one time living in her care. Everything She had ( mind, Body and spirit) went to taking care of her kids. Not only was it Children that she took care of but also the elderly and the people who was in need of assistance. She would let the homeless in for a meal and a place to sleep. She Helped people with rides and all sorts of different things.
Kathy was a loving Mother and a beloved Sister and devoted servant of god. Kathy was a very selfless person. Majority of the time she was giving rather than taking. Always putting everybody first above herself.
