Funeral services for Justin Yellow Earrings age 37 of Little Eagle will be 1:00 PM Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Elkhorn Congregational Church in Little Eagle. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Family will gather at 4:30 PM Friday, January 15, 2021 at Kesling Funeral Home for processional to the church in Little Eagle for viewing. Justin passed away Monday, January 4, 2021 at Mobridge Regional Hospital.

Justin James Yellow Earrings was born July 22, 1983 in Fort Yates, North Dakota to Terrance L. Yellow Earrings and Elouis Flying Bye Castro. He grew up in Little Eagle and attended Little Eagle day school and graduated from the 8 ^th grade. Justin then attended high school in McLaughlin graduating with the class of 2002 At the age of 12 Virgil and Dawn Standing Crow took guardianship and raised him until his adult age.

While growing up, Justin enjoyed playing basketball with his relatives and friends and participated in many basketball tournaments. Justin loved visiting and spending with family and friends. He was active in Elkhorn Church and was always willing to help mow the church yard, putting up Christmas decorations, making Christmas candy bags and shoveling snow.

In 2018 Justin rode a horse in the Fort Laramie 150 ^th Anniversary Treaty Ride from Little Eagle to Green Grass representing Standing Rock.

Justin also made his daily tour of visiting and helping his family and elderly who needed help around their houses.

He is survived by his son, Jayce Joseph, daughter, Jayleigh Shae, his mother Elouis Flying Bye, Castro, two brothers, Nathan Castro of Little Eagle and Reuben Flying Bye of Mississippi. One sister, Miley White Eyes and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. Justin loved all his family, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Terrance Yellow Earrings, sister, Consuelo Flying Bye, maternal grandparents, Joseph and Irene Flying Bye, paternal grandparents, Alvin Jr. and Ethelene Yellow Earrings and many other relatives who passed on.
