Obituary

Mass of Christian Burial for June Imberi, age 72, of Mobridge will be at 10 AM, Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Mobridge. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will start at 5 PM with the family present and prayer service will be at 7:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. June passed away Sunday at St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen.

June (Baer) Imberi was born on June 30, 1939 on her parents farm eight miles north of Hoven to Theodore and Lydia (Riede) Baer. Her family moved to Mobridge in the early 1950's. June graduated from Mobridge High School in 1957.

June married Bill Imberi on January 29, 1957 in Glencross. The first couple of years of marriage they moved around while Bill worked construction living in Timber Lake, Mobridge, Chicago, and Pierre before moving back to Mobridge in 1958 where they have since resided. While in Mobridge June worked at Marv's Grocery Store, Kraft Mill Work, the nursing home and the Mobridge Regional Hospital before retiring in 1985.

June enjoyed playing cards, boating, fishing and camping. She also loved her animals. She was a mother to many besides her own children and no one ever left her house hungry. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, the Legion Auxiliary, the Moose Club and TOPS.

June is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bill of Mobridge, seven children, Craig (Sandi) Imberi of Mobridge, Joyce Holzer of Spearfish, Suzi (Darrell) McKeown of Brookings, Carla Hauck of Spearfish, Mark (Debra) Imberi of Mobridge, Mary (Jim) Schneider of Rathdrum, ID and Lisa (Paul) Schneider of Spearfish; 18 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one brother, Edmer (Lois) Baer of California, three sisters, Erma Grimm of Oregon, LaVerna (Melvin) Flemmer of Ames, IA and Lila (Alvin) Reuer of Cheyenne, WY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Lydia, grandson, Mickey Imberi, sisters, Hulda, Alvina, and Dorothy, brothers, Alvin, Leonard, Lawrence, Norman and Bob.
