Funeral services for Julius Antelope, 29 of Fort Yates will be 10: 00 AM, Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Fort Yates. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. An all-night wake will be Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at the Yellow District Building, Red Tail Hawk Ave, Ft. Yates, ND, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Rosary will start at 7:00 p.m. Meal and refreshments to follow.
Julius Jordan Antelope born on December 17, 1991 to Diane Dogskin and Lyle J Antelope and made his home in Fort Yates.
He grew up with his brother and all his cousins and enjoyed hanging out with them. He graduated from Standing Rock High School in 2012 which he excelled in academics and band which he loved. He worked several jobs throughout the years for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, Prairie Knights Casino and Grand River Casino. He also enjoyed volunteering at the KLND RADIO with his bestie, Memoree. When he wasn't with friends and his cousins he loved visiting his grandma Vivian and was always very protective over her as well as his dad. He became a self-taught artist and drew pictures etc. on his free time which helped him with his anxiety and stress.
Julius will be greatly missed by all who loved him. He was survived by his father Lyle J Antelope, his grandmother, Vivian Day, his brothers, Emmett and Andrew Ramsey, his aunt's, Carla Dogskin (Mike), Wanda Fast Horse, Roselynn Fast Horse (Clayton), Marian Antelope, Valerie Antelope (Uli), Karen Antelope, Marlene and Darlene Antelope from Illinois, Kathleen Antelope and his uncle's, Martin Gipp Sr., Dana Fast Horse, Wayne Fast Horse, Robert Day (Melissa), Donald Day, David Antelope from Rapid City SD, Arthur Antelope from Yankton SD, Scott Noisy Hawk and Joseph Antelope and all his cousins and relatives that we may have missed.
Julius was preceded in death by his mother Diane, brothers, Kyle James and Juan, his grandfather, Ambrose R Antelope.
