Memorial services for Joy Yeske, age 58 of Mound City will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Kesling Funeral Home in Mobridge. Inurnment will be in the Mound City Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge.

Joy passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Vibra Hospital Central Dakota in Mandan, ND.Joy Lynn (Travis) Yeske was born on March 4, 1959 in Brookings, SD to John C and Joyce (Opheim)Travis of Mound City, SD. She was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings, and loved the color purple. She was a happy caring person, who enjoyed going out and visiting with friends and family. She had a big heart for all kinds of animals. She was a collector of owls, wolves, eagles, Harley Davidson, and Garfield.

She met her future husband Bert Yeske in 1995, and they later married on April 28, 2000.

Joy is survived by her daughter Heather Travis of Mound City, SD, husband of 17 years Bert Yeske of the Mobridge Health and Rehab, father John C Travis of Mound City, SD, one brother and sister-in-law John E and (Tomi Kae) Travis of Mound City SD, one niece Jennifer Travis of Mobridge SD and her son Alexander John Travis, brother and sister-in-law Marv and (Becky) Mayer of Miltona, MN.

She was preceded in death by her mother Joyce Travis on December 6, 2005.
