In Loving Memory of anyoo
Joshua T. Silk
"Josh"
Josh was born March 7th, 1984 to Phoebe (Archambault) and Henry Silk in Fort Yates, ND. Josh attended Fort Yates Public School & then went on to graduate from Standing Rock High School in 2004. Josh worked at Prairie Knights Casino for 6 years as slot attendant.
One of Josh's most joyous moments in life came when he found out he was going to be a Father to Riley Mae. He loved her with all his heart and soul.
Josh was a quiet, shy person but once you got to know him he would speak his mind. He also was very nice and would lend a helping hand when needed. Josh always had a smile on his face, he liked to tease and joke around. His hobbies included cooking, reading, fishing, and camping at the Mni Wiconi Oceti Sakowin Camp. He liked to keep up with current events. He had his mom record the news every evening with David Muir. One of his favorite shows being the Big Bang Theory.
Josh was a Christian and accepted Jesus into his life. Josh was baptized in the name of Jesus in 2017. Josh would often tell his friends about scripture. He liked all scriptures, turning often to his bible for strength, comfort, and courage.
I would like to thank everyone who prayed and was thinking of Joshua while he was in the I.C.U. Pastor Marie Gunn, Tana Lone Fight, and the Sanford Health Pastor. It is much appreciated and we're grateful. I would also like to thank Joshua's five doctors, day/night nurses, and the whole staff for their expertise in their field while he was in the I.C.U. I thank you so much.
Josh will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Josh had a humble & kind heart, often put others first, and was always keeping someone at his place if they had nowhere to go. Josh had so many goals to finish but was called home by his heavenly Father. Oh how I miss Joshua's hugs and kisses. Before he would leave my house he would say "Let me give you a hug and kiss." He would hug me so tight and kiss me on the cheek. I will miss his smile. Thank you to everyone who visited him & for all the prayers while in the I.C.U.
It brings me comfort knowing Josh was surrounded by loved ones when the Heavenly Father called him home on January 25th.

Joshua is survived by his daughter, Riley Mae Silk, his mother, Phoebe Silk, his sisters, Whitney & Terri Silk, the entire Silk Family on his dad's side.
