Josephine Ann (Grosz) Holder passed away into the Lord's arms on December 11, 2023, at the Walworth County Care Center in Selby.

She was born in Hague, ND on March 19, 1939, the daughter of Joseph and Christina (Kessler) Grosz.  She attended country school through the 8th grade.  Following school, she moved to Selby, where she met her husband, Franklin Holder.  They were married on December 8, 1961, in Pierre, SD.

Josie was an EMT for many years in her community, as well as worked at the Berens Cafe, Selby Jail, Mobridge Care Center, the casino, and ended her career in the kitchen at the Selby school at age 81.

She is survived by her children: Terry of Aberdeen, Ann Krampitz of Owatonna, MN, Glen of Aberdeen, and Scott (Leah) of Selby.  She had 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by one brother, Aloys (Betty) Grosz of Shakopee, MN, three sisters: Mary Ford, Jenny Hahne of Selby, and Diane Volk of Linton, ND.

Josie was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin, parents: Joseph and Christina Grosz, brothers: Leo, Benedict, and Frank, and sisters: Elizabeth Chesky, Maggie Weinzirl, Theresa Dietz, Gladys Dyson, Cecilia Engelhaupt, and Eva Opheim.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 9 am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church.  A funeral will follow at 11:00 am with Father Mark Axtmann officiating.
