Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph M. Snider age 58 of Ft. Yates will be at 10 AM, CT, on Monday, February 13, 2017 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ft. Yates. Burial will be at the church cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be at 5 PM with a Scriptural Wake Service at 7 PM on Sunday at the church. Joseph passed away Monday, February 6, 2017 at Fort Yates IHS Hospital.

Joseph Michael Snider Sr. was born on April 7, 1958 to Michael and Marilyn (Condon) Snider in Bismarck, ND. He graduated from Standing Rock Community High School in 1976. There after he studied carpentry at Lake Region Junior College in Devil's Lake, ND.

Joseph had three children from his first marriage and four children from his second marriage. In his younger years he enjoyed riding horse, working side by side with his father and grandfather, attending all his children's hobbies and interests. Joseph was the best grandpa and enjoyed every minute with his grandkids. In his spare time Joe enjoyed fishing, hunting, attending horse races, pow wows, sundances and making numerous crafts.

He worked numerous jobs throughout the years. His most recent being Facilities Manager at the IHS Hospital in Ft. Yates, ND. Joe received numerous awards and recognition during his tenure at IHS Hospital for his numerous renovation and expansion projects. He retired in 2014 after 12 years of service.

Joe is survived by his children, Kolan (Kristi) Snider, Kelli (Lee) Vetter, Jennifer Snider, Joseph (Wynette) Snider, Louis Snider, Thomas (Crystal) Snider, Ryan (Marias) Snider, grandchildren, Trajan, Imajen, Xander, Easten, Kayleigh, Alexandria, Adison, Lee Jr., Kaleb, Sonja, Khloe, Trenton, Joey, Dalton, and Tayton, brothers, Jon (Shirley) and Gary (Vina), sisters, Lori (Brian), Joan (Tim) and Michele (Dave).

He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Marilyn, son, Joseph III, hunka brother Wade Claymore, and granddaughters, Baylee and Genesis.
