Obituary
Mass of Christian Burial for John Hohl, age 78 of Glenham will be Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Mobridge City Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge. Visitation will be Friday, April 5, 2013, starting at 2 PM with a rosary at 7 PM at Kesling Funeral Home. John passed away, Tuesday April 2, 2013 at Mobridge Regional Hospital.
John Richard Hohl was born June 25, 1934 in Mobridge to Joseph and Ruth (Nickisch) Hohl. The family lived in Bowman, ND for a few years in the early 1940's. In 1944 they returned to the Mobridge area where they lived at Camp Pontis which was the Railroad Water Plant Station.
John attended Mobridge Schools and graduating from Mobridge High School in 1952. He served 2 years in the United States Army. After returning from the army he moved to California where he worked at the Chevrolet assembly plant. He later worked for United Airlines as a ramp serviceman for 40 years.
In 2008 he moved back to Mobridge to be near his family and friends. He had resided at the Golden Living Center for the past 2 years.
John is survived by his sister, Ruth (Ted) Anderson, sister-in-law Mary Ellen Hohl, brother-in-law Jim (Donna) Steinwand, 14 nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, brother Joe, three sisters, nephew, 2 brother-in-law.
